Alexander Scarcia is a Solicitor at Cohen Legal, supporting the firm’s commercial litigation and wills & estates practice areas. A Townsville local and graduate of the University of Tasmania, Alexander brings strong analytical capability, intellectual curiosity, and a genuine commitment to client service to his role.

Before joining Cohen Legal in late 2025, Alexander gained valuable experience through volunteer and internship roles with the Tasmanian Refugee Legal Service and Youth Law Australia. In these positions, he assisted vulnerable clients, contributed to legal research and advisory work, and developed an early appreciation for the real-world impact of clear, strategic legal advice.

Alexander has a particular interest in wills and estates, especially complex estate planning structures involving trusts, intergenerational asset planning, and technical succession issues. He is equally engaged by commercial litigation, where he values the structured, problem-solving nature of dispute resolution and the opportunity to assist businesses in protecting their financial stability and long-term viability.

Working under the mentorship of Principal Samantha Cohen, Alex is developing his litigation and advisory skills within a collaborative and high-performance team environment. He is committed to building a career grounded in integrity, precision, and practical outcomes for clients.

Outside of work, Alexander enjoys exploring North Queensland’s natural landscapes, maintaining an active lifestyle, and reading fantasy literature.
