Dharma Jones is a Law Student at James Cook University and has been part of the Cohen Legal team since 2025. Often one of the first voices clients hear or the first faces they see, Dharma plays an important role in shaping the welcoming and professional experience the firm is known for.

Currently in her second year of a Bachelor of Laws, Dharma has known since childhood that she wanted to pursue a legal career. That early clarity has translated into a genuine enthusiasm for her studies, with particular interests in land law, contracts, torts, and commercial subjects. 

She values the opportunity to learn concepts at university and then see how they operate in practice within a working law firm 

At Cohen Legal, Dharma supports the team across a wide range of administrative and client service responsibilities. Reliable, responsive, and proactive, she assists with front-of-house client engagement, file preparation, and general practice support. Her calm manner and natural warmth help clients feel comfortable from the moment they make contact.

Dharma aspires to work in commercial law following graduation, drawn to the intricacy and structure involved in working with businesses and property matters.  She appreciates the fast-paced environment of legal practice and the collaborative culture of the firm.

Originally born in Tasmania but raised in Townsville, Dharma proudly considers North Queensland home. 

Outside of work and study, she enjoys reading and spending time outdoors, especially during Townsville’s winter months.
